Ran up on Jeff DeMark not too long after the passing of the great Ernie Banks. Saw him play once. Saw him play on tv many times- that is what we did in the afternoon as kids, watch the Cubs. My sister who was confined to wheel chair watched all the games too. When he'd his a homer (this is somewhere in the count after a lot of tugging his elbow back, glissando finger rolls on the bat, staring at the pitcher) and Jack Brickhouse said "Hey Hey, Ernie" Kate would break out in big big smiles.
